The CycleOps 100 Pro Indoor Cycle is for users who are looking for a heavy duty bike, whether it be to train or simply get into better shape. With a 48 pound flywheel, you are getting a bike that has true road feel and is ideal if you are training to start or accelerate fast. The starts and stops are very fluid, and the resistance adjustment is smooth and precise. The frame is made out of steel and coated with zinc-plated powder, which provides excellent stability that is good for sprinting, climbing, and durability long term. The CycleOps 100 operates very quietly even when free wheeling. The design looks the part of a one thousand dollar bike, and is one that you won’t feel like you have to hide when entertaining guests.

The CycleOps100 Pro Indoor Cycle is very basic, it lacks some of the bells and whistles that you might see with a bike in this price range. Though, the lack of extras does make the bike a bit more affordable.

As mentioned, you won’t have to worry about stability or the bike tipping over. You can sprint as hard as you want and repeat intervals all day long. The base consists of 4 legs so you it feels like it’s not going anywhere. Adjusting the resistance is only a matter of twisting the knob, and is conveniently located right in front of the handlebars. And you won’t have to turn it far to increase the resistance dramatically.

Assembly requires very little time and effort on your part. The process is really a matter of customizing it to your liking, and inserting the seatpost.

Two water bottle holders are in place for added convenience so you will stay well-hydrated throughout your training. The seat replicates what you would have on a road bike and can be adjusted vertically and horizontally. The range of adjustment is between 66-92 cm. If you would rather have a different seat, then you can easily replace the current one with another. Pedals come standard, but can be exchanged as well for ones your prefer. One of the downsides however is that the handlebar won’t adjust forward or backward.

The bike does lack a monitor to track speed, heart rate, and distance data however. You will have to purchase a separate system in order to get this information while training. CycleOps does offer an upgrade kit for electronics, but it will cost several hundred dollars to do so.

With the CycleOps Pro 100, you are getting a top of the line indoor cycling bike at an affordable price. The best part of the bike is it’s performance, all that is lacking are some of the features that you might get with bikes around this price range. Whether you are training or just using it for fitness purposes, you will not be disappointed with this bike.

Pros

Adjustments – The bike can be adjusted in many different ways, including the console, handlebars, and seat. You can completely customize it to your liking.

Console – It’s bright and multi-colored for clear viewing.

Sturdy – can handle a maximum user weight of 300 pounds.

Operation – it rides smoothly and quietly

Compact – can fit into tight spaces

Cons

Assembly – on average, customers said it took between 1 -1.5 hours to assemble. The handlebars were a bit of a challenge to assemble with the monitor, and steps were missing in the instructions

Seat – the comfort is always an issue with some on cycling and exercise bikes. It might be comfortable depending on who you are, but some noted that it was too wide. If you haven’t ridden on a bike for a long time, then it probably will be sore in the beginning. It seemed that women had more problems with it than men did.

Range of Adjustability – The seat is somewhat limited into how much it can be adjusted. Both taller and shorter customers claimed that it wasn’t able to adjust enough. Everyone’s body type is unique, some have longer torsos and shorter legs, and vice versa.

Pedal Straps – one customer noted that the straps were very difficult to adjust. Velcro is probably a better option.

Click Here To Get Shipping On The Schwinn 140 Upright Exercise Bike

Customer Reviews

I agree with a few other reviewers about the instructions. Not the clearest in the world. But certainly workable. I am pretty good with my hands and follow directions well, so I had it all assembled in roughly 40 minutes. The bike is solid. I am 5’10″ and fit the bike very well. I did buy a padded seat, so I cannot comment on the comfort of the one that came with the bike. I was also very surprised at how quiet this thing is. You can’t tell anyone is riding it until you see it. That is good because the bike is in our bedroom and my wife sleeps much later than me – M Ambrosio

This is a well built, very sturdy bike with all the extras/electronics we wanted…It’s great for my husband who’s 6’3″ but for the shorter/smaller female (I’m abt. 5’4 & 1/2″) – this bike simply doesn’t work-It just plain hurts! Even when adjusted at the very closest settings & the lowest height possible, I can reach the pedals but then not bend my legs to the propor riding level (I do have shorter legs). The seat is huge, hard, & uncomfortable. – S. Myers

After reading several other reviews, I was afraid the seat would be too uncomfortable, but it is fine. No, it’s not my favorite recliner, but it’s nicer than my regular bike. The adjustments on the seat and handlebars are nice, you can really adjust easily. The console is easy to use, after reading the instructions. Trust me, computers hate me, this really is easy. I really don’t have any down sides for this bike. It has definitely been worth the money, and I’m pleased. – likethebike

Pros

Quiet

Sturdy

Smooth

Comfortable

Indoor cycling bikes in this price range and expected to have excellent performance, and the BFSB10 is no different. It’s has a balanced, heavy flywheel, and operates smoothly. It’s very sturdy, the frame doesn’t move while riding. It’s very well built and has a nice feel to it. Most of the assembly is already done for you, you can put the rest together in 15-20 minutes tops. This is a gym-quality bike.

Cons

No Horizontal Handlebar Adjustment

No Computer Monitor

One of the most valued features of an indoor cycling bike is completely adjustability; being able to move the seat and handlebars both vertically and horizontally. What’s lacking is the ability to adjust the handlebars horizontally. This may or may not be an issue for you, but it’s worth noting. While not a deal breaker, a computer monitor that tracks time, calories, distance, etc. would be a nice addition.

Click Here To Get Free Shipping On The Best Fitness BFSB10 Indoor Cycling Trainer

Customer Review

Over all I am very pleased with this bike. The ride is quiet and smooth. The handle bars are smooth enough that my hands don’t hurt from the grip. Really, my only complaint would be the range in the resistance. It’s has a muddy mid-range. The heavy resistance is great, and it comes off easily, there just isn’t very much room in the middle ground. – Whitney Evans

The overall quality of this product for the money seems very good. Heavy, welded joints with no movement in the frame. Solid flywheel which seems well balanced. Quite heavy, but expected with such heavy duty materials. The only complaints that I would have are that the brake squeeks slightly under low load and it would be a nice extra if the pedals came with clips so real cycling shoes could be used. Overall, quite happy so far.

I am very happy with the feel of the operation of this spin bike and impressed with the quality of it. It is much heavier then I had though it would be, which is a good thing for a spin bike. Assembly took no time at all it came with the required tools to put it together. Easy to adjust and smoother operation then the spin bikes I have used at the gym. Free budget shipping and delivery from amazon was as fast a normal letter would take from the shipping point to my home that surprised me and I am amazed at that. VERY SATISFIED – Bobi6

The electroless nickel plating is applied to provide more resistance to corrosion.

This has proven to be stronger than stainless. Instead of a chain, a kevlar belt is implemented to get a smooth quiet ride. It will never need to be oiled or replaced because of stretch. Adjusting the resistance is only a matter of turning the knob. Pressing down on the knob will activate the braking system quickly.

Click Here To Get Free Shipping On The Lemond RevMaster Pro

Pros

Ease of Use

Adjustable

Smooth

Quiet

Sturdy

E-Nickle Finish

47 Pound Flywheel

High Quality Construction

The seat and handlebar can be adjusted horizontally and vertically. This in itself separates it from about 80% of the other indoor cycling bikes out there. But the Lemond RevMaster Pro takes it even further. Most other bikes have pre-drilled holes that determine where you can adjust the seat or handlebars to. The RevMaster however allows you to slide both to a position exactly where you want it. This really gives users a chance to maximize comfort.

The Lemond RevMaster Pro is tough to budge. With a maximum capacity of 350 pounds, getting it to move is a challenge, even if you stand while spinning. It might as well be bolted into the ground.

Pedaling is smooth and quiet. Almost no maintenance is needed for the belt drive. Tension knob is smooth and it comes with a brake that works very well. The 47 pound flywheel is the heaviest of all the indoor cycling bikes I have reviewed so far. It speaks to the quality of workout you will get with this bike.

The warranty is also very attractive. This is one the best you can find in this price range. A lifetime warranty covers the frame, and a three year warranty covers parts. Chances are you will never need to put this into use.

Cons

Price

Optional Monitor

One of the only downside to the Lemond RevMaster Pro is that it costs $1500. This is out of the price range for many people. Also, for this much money you would expect a monitor to be included. But it so happens that it’s an option.

Ultimately, this is one of the best bikes out there. If you are serious about spinning and can afford it, then you won’t find too many better options than the Lemond RevMaster Pro.

Click Here To Get Free Shipping On The Lemond RevMaster Pro

Customer Reviews

“We like to say there is RevMaster and then you return to earth and mortal bikes”. I have taught spinning for 4 years and the LeMond RevMaster is the best bike on the market. Users love the smoothness and control – and the adjustments fit you properly for riders of all sizes. The belt drive is also quiet and there are no maintence issues. – Bob Hailey, Miami FL

“The RevMaster is the best bike out there”. We chose the LeMond RevMaster after trying all other bikes. It is more reliable, has a better fit, is easier to adjust, and delivers a smoother ride. Durango is a town of real cyclists. The Sunny Health Fitness Indoor Cycling Bike comes with a 30-pound flywheel and a heavy-duty steel frame for increased durability and sturdiness. This is evidenced by the fact that the maximum user weight is 220 pounds, which is well above average for indoor cycling bikes. Its chain drive mechanism results in quiet and smooth workouts. The adjustable resistance, handlebars, and seat make this Sunny Health Fitness bike comfortable during use. Wheels are attached for easier transportation. Read more...

Pros

Comfortable

Easy To Adjust

Easy To Setup

Smooth Operation

Sturdy

Value

Assembly takes around 20-30 minutes, though the directions could have been better. It’s well constructed, and is very comfortable while riding. You can stand up and pedal on it without experiencing any wobbling. The pedals come with a cage that provides support. At under $250, this bike offers excellent value for the price. The quality of the bike is that of others that are around the $400-500 range. The red and black also makes the bike look very sharp.

Cons

Slightly Noisy

You will probably notice a little more noise than you would hear from a more expensive bike, but it’s not too bad. You can drown it out with music or the TV.

This is not a gym quality bike, but you wouldn’t expect that from a bike listed in the $200+ range. For the money however, this is as good of a bike as you will find.

Customer Reviews

I have been using this spin bike 4 times a week for the past several weeks. I can’t express what a great bike I got for the price! Assembly was really easy due to the fact that the nuts, bolts and washers were already in place for installation. No reading “Keys” to figure out which bolt goes where with what washer, etc. and no left over parts! We are even thinking of purchasing a second one so a couple of us can spin together…- Sprocket the Spinner (Monroe, WA)

It is a good a bike but you can’t use it in intense workouts (example when you stand and cycling at the same time it makes a weird sound and i weight 149 pounds. the resistance fabric piece it started to wearing off and i didn’t have it for a full month yet. it is a good bike when seating down. – customer from Canada

I didn’t think I would enjoy cycling over the treadmill but needed to change up given the impact to my hips and knees from RA. So far, after almost 2 weeks, I’m glad I made the purchase. The bike provides a really good workout. Adjusts well for my 5′ 2″ frame. Quiet and does not take up alot of space. Very easy to assemble. I look forward to getting a lot of great cardio out of this equipment but will need to purchase some spin DVDs to get the full benefit since I’m new to spinning.

The Spinner Fit Exercise bike is built to give riders the feel of a "real bike". Featured is a weighted flywheel that creates momentum and forces the pedals to keep moving. The seat is wide, padded, and can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally. Included are four DVDs about an in-depth program to help you get into shape. The resistance knob is very user-friendly, as it's simply a matter of turning it to either increase or decrease resistance. The handlebars feature a no-slip design so you can get a solid grip, and can also be adjusted vertically to find the ideal height. Read more...

Heavy-Duty Construction

Easy Assembly

Smooth

Water Bottle Holder

DVDs

The Spinner Fit is sturdy and can handle a maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds. It operates smoothly and is comparable to studio bikes in this area. It’s also very durable and easier to move than some of the heavier bikes out there. The level of resistance is pretty much infinite, and resistance is almost too easy to adjust. The assembly is quick and easy.

Cons

Limited Height Adjustment

Noisy

Sensitive Tension

One of the complaints was that the handlebars don’t adjust high enough. This depends however on how tall you are. If you are 5’2 or so, then you will have a harder time being comfortable. It does make some noise, though I may be going to far by saying it’s noisy. If you have the radio or the TV on, then it can barely be heard. The handlebar is also a bit wobbly and not the most comfortable to lean on.

If you are looking for an exact replica of a spin bike that you use at the gym, this probably isn’t the one for your. However, if what you want is an at home exercise bike that gets the job done, then you will be satisfied with it.

Customer Reviews

It was very easy to assemble and is quiet when riding. I am 5’9″ and read some of the reviews regarding height and the bars not being tall enough. The bike is a perfect fit for my height. I have rode it nine times in the last couple of weeks with no problems. Like most spinner bikes there is some movement in the bars but that is normal. It came with 4 DVD’s and when you just go to the workout section of the DVD the ride program is well paced and keeps you motiviated. I would highly recommend this spinner to anyone interested in getting a good workout. – jmrenn (Louisville, KY)

It was very easy to assemble and it’s quite heavy but overall it’s worth it. Just one slight problem with my bike is that the right pedal makes noises when i’m pedaling but other than that it’s a great bike and the dvd’s are excellent! – lokita (New York, NY)

A real like bike ride right in your home. Weather should no longer be an excuse to not ride. Well built & sturdy. Unbox & ready to use in minutes.- BeARider (Nashville, NC)

Pros

Solid Construction

Easy Assembly

Handlebar Adjustment

Bottle Holder

Smooth

The LifeSpan Fitness S2 is delivered mostly pre-assembled, so putting the rest of it together won’t take very long. The construction of the bike is pretty solid, doesn’t move when riding, and is very smooth.

The 40 pound flywheel is gym quality, as many bikes in this price range have flywheels in the 30-33 pound range. The heavier flywheel will give you a better workout.

One of the best features about this bike is the ability to adjust the handlebars horizontally and vertically. Not all bikes have this, even some of the more expensive ones, and this really allows smaller and taller people to find a good comfort level. The bottle holder is placed in a spot where it’s easily accessible, and won’t be in the way when riding. The two wheels make moving it around easy for most people.

Cons

Seat

Cheap pedals

The seat is very narrow and is not meant to sit on for very long. It would be worth investing in a gel seat that provides more padding. Also, the bike lacks accessories such as a computer or different handlebars. You might benefit from getting higher quality pedals as well.

Click Here To Get Free Shipping On The Lifespan Fitness S2 Bike

Customer Reviews

Great value for the price! It is a very quiet and very smooth spin bike. The seats and handlebars have nice adjustments. The only difference I have found in the bike I use at my club and this bike is the seat itself…my club spin bike has a higher end seat but that bike also costs almost double what I paid. (while assembling the bike I found the components to be standard bike components like the seat and pedals which I guess you could either purchase or swap from your own bike) The bike has a good warranty and the packaging included all tools needed and assembly took me about 20 minutes all said and done. – Geoffrey Fischer (Centennial, CO)

Had it for two years and it has died already. — It’s making a lot of cranking noise, so much so that it’s pretty much useless for us. We used it on average 3-4 times a week, about 35 minutes each time. Such an expensive model for such a short life, that’s quite unacceptable. To be fair, when it lasted, we had no issue with it. – Shopper

I bought this for my wife and so far she likes it. It seems durable enough. I don’t think its quite as nice as the fancy commerical ones at the gym but its good enough for us. When I received this item from Amazon, I had to assemble some parts including the pedals. The left pedal would not fit and we tried repeatedly. Eventually support sent a service person to my house to replace the pedal arm. The manufacturer was really good about this and never argued with me and was generally very responsive. – Liverleef (Louisville, KY)

The Phoenix 98623 uses two two brake pads compressing the flywheel instead of one. This leads to better resistance, while limiting the amount of wear and tear over time. It’s very sturdy, as it weighs 130 pounds and has a 40 pounds flywheel. Most bikes in this price range have flywheels in the area of 30 pounds.

The assembly will take around 20 – 30 minutes. The central components are already in place. All that needs to be done is to put on the pedals, seat, and handle. The tension knob adjusts rather easily, as only a few turns are needed to reach the next gear.

The seat can be adjusted horizontally and vertically. It’s comfortable for a height range beginning at about 5’4 on up. It’s built for larger individuals. While the bike is heavy, the wheels make moving it fairly manageable.

This is a gym quality bike that is well constructed and built to last. The bike operates smoothly and wobbling is limited. It will wobble more if you place it on carpet.

At $500, this bike is excellent value for the quality that it has.

Cons

Uncomfortable Seat

Handlebar Adjustment

Packaging

The handlebars can only be adjusted vertically. Some bikes are able to move horizontally as well, and this feature sometimes comes in handy if you are shorter or taller than normal. The range of the seat adjustment could be better, as any height below 5’4 is probably is going to be stretching to be comfortable.

An issue with most cycling bikes, the seat is not very comfortable. You will probably want to purchase a gel seat, they can be had for under $15. Placing a towel on the seat may also help.

This would be 5 stars if they had used sturdier packing material–Styrofoam just doesn’t cut it for a 120-lb bike. When I opened the box it looked like a bomb had gone off inside. Surprisingly, nothing was broken. The tab at the back of the frame where the cross-piece attaches was bent, but when I attached the cross-piece it straightened out. Still, I count myself lucky.

A few have received their bike with damaged parts. One reason for this is because it’s not packaged as well as it could be. Some received the bike with the protective materials having already unraveled. This has lead to damaged parts for some on arrival.

Click Here To Get Free Shipping On The Phoenix 98623 Exercise Bike

Although it was heavy, I was able to get it into my house (3 steps) on my own without straining anything…I put it together by myself within 40 minutes or so and this sucker is STOUT. One little nobby broke off during shipping but will be replaced; I’m not concerned–it didn’t effect the bike at at all. So I just completed my first workout on it and I must say, it’s stable, sturdy, just like the one at my gym and I LOVE IT. I’m pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a spin bike for your home…It’s got all the necessary adjustments needed for the novice/intermediate spinner! – Lisa (Sacramento, California)

I bought this bike a month ago and the price was right around $589 w/free shipping. It has now since dropped to $499, so make sure you wait until it gets below $500 to save some cash. I thought the set up was very easy. It took me maybe 15 minutes and the tools are included. No parts were broken. Others are right that this machine does not have all the adjustment features of a very high end, gym bike, but you get what you pay for. I find the ride to be very comfortable even when I’m on it for 1.5-2 hours at a time. Bike shorts are a must in my opinion though. – M. Schell (Denver, CO)

This bike is a great buy for the price. It is very substantial and the heavy weight lets you be able to get up out of the saddle without worrying about the bike tipping over. Assembly was easy. The seat is not very comfortable but we bought another one at a bike store and it wasn’t too expensive. It’s pretty easy to move even though it’s a heavy bike. Adjusting the seat is a little tough. You have to use your whole weight to move up or down. – D. Anderson (Austin, TX)

Features

Stowaway exercise bike with folding frame for easy storage

Adjustable magnetic resistance system and nonskid foot pedals with straps

4-function computer tracks your riding time, speed, distance, and calories

Adjustable padded seat; workouts burn 4 times the calories as walking

Measures 17.5 x 53 x 22 inches (W x H x D) when folded; weighs 50 pounds

Pros

Easy Assembly

Quiet

Computer Monitor

Convenient resistance adjustment

Portable

Price

This compact bike is ideal if you have limited space and have a small budget. It can be moved rather easily, as it weighs only 50 pounds. It operates quietly and is ideal for those who are beginners. It comes with a computer monitor that tracks time, speed, distance, and calories. This usually isn’t included in a bike under $200, though some customers have questioned the accuracy of it. This is a good bike for the price.

Cons

Uncomfortable Seat

May Not Be For Advanced Users

Limited Seat Adjustment

Durability

If you are looking for a strong, heavy-duty exercise bike then this one isn’t for you. The resistance won’t probably be challenging enough for advanced users. It also isn’t built to last long term. If you plan on using it frequently, then consider some other expensive models such as the ProForm 290 SPX, Stamina CPS 9200, and the Bladez H914.

Customer Reviews

When the exercise bike arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see such a short instruction booklet. Within 20 minutes, the bike was ready to go. As expected, the bike is compact, fitting into a small corner in the bedroom. Additionally (and unexpectedly), the bike is surprising quiet. This makes it very easy to watch television or listen to music simultaneously. If you’re looking for a solid exercise bike requiring little space and creating little noise, this is the bike for you. – ConsumerJon (Gainesville, FL)

I am enjoying this bike a great deal. It doesn’t take up too much room, although the “stow away” aspect of it was not as impressive as I was hoping–when you fold it up, you save maybe 1 foot of room. But that’s okay because it’s still a pretty skinny device. I keep it in the closet and roll it out every day–I wouldn’t say it’s light (it’s about 40 lbs) but it’s not hard to maneuver. Assembly was not that difficult. All in all, a great bike for getting some exercise while doing other things. – infandum (Somerville, MA)

My biggest complaint about the bike is the tension setting. I’ve used the bike several times and I have to set it to the highest tension to get a decent workout. I’m a bit disappointed that I don’t have anything to work up to – and I’m even not an avid biker or exerciser! I’m 34 in good health and participate in low to moderate physical activity. I do not recommend this bike to people who are looking for gym-quality exercise bike. However, this is a great bike for people who are looking to get a little cardio exercise at home or who may be just getting back into exercising/physical activity. – April Bolton-Smith (Annandale, VA)

The Fitness Master X Series Momentum Indoor Cycling Bike features a robust 44 pound flywheel. This allows the movement to be more controlled and smooth. The seat and handlebar can both be adjusted horizontally and vertically, which provides great flexibility for those who are taller or shorter than average. Because it uses a belt instead of a chain, the bike rides very quietly. The tension knob has a quick response and has many levels so you can constantly challenge yourself. The transition when adjusting resistance is barely noticeable. Read more...

Pros

Easy assembly

Solid Construction

Easy to adjust

User Friendly

Smooth and Quiet Operation

Stable

All the tools are included so the assembly is very easy. The entire bike can be put together in under 30 minutes, as only six steps are required. Regardless of the pace you ride at, the Fitness Master X Series Momentum maintains its steadiness due to its solid and heavy construction. This bike is very high quality and performs without making little to no noise.

Cons

Uncomfortable seat

Heavy

At almost 130 pounds, the bike is a bit on the heavy side. But, being heavy also means that it’s more stable and operates more smoothly. The wheels attached make transportation easier as well.

The seat does get uncomfortable after some time, so you might need to get a gel seat or foam pad. Also, some of the other more expensive bikes come with LCD displays that show time, distance, calories burned, etc. However, the Fitness Master X doesn’t have this feature. You can always purchase one from Amazon for around $30.

Customer Reviews

I have rode on many different spin bikes. This bike is comparable to any of the very expensive commercial brands found in the best gyms. I wanted to take my training to the next level so I purchased a StarTrac cadence computer. The result is remarkable. I am able to be very specific with my training down to calories burned, rpms’s, miles and time. This bike so easy to set up and use. I highly recommend it to supplement any fitness routine. Very satisfied and worth every cent! – Kevin (Murrieta, California)

I love my bike. It was took little effort and time to put together (my 8 year old son helped me). The seat is a little hard but most seats are. I don’t consider that a deal breaker. The only downside is the lack of a bike computer.. or at least some way you could put one on. It was easy to put together. – LuvinLife (Salt Lake City, UT)

Good solid bike, smooth riding, quality construction. The tension adjustment seems a bit flimsy but certainly works well enough. For the money this is a great buy. Solidly boxed and strapped to wooden palette, arrived in perfect condition. – WU (Scottsdale, AZ)
