Review: Stamina CPS 9200 Indoor Cycle
The Stamina CPS 9200 makes you feel like you are actually out on the road. You can build speed similar to an outdoor bike with its weighted flywheel. One of the most important features any indoor cycling bike can have is strong construction, and the CPS 9200 does not disappoint. You want to be able to ride a indoor cycling bike without worrying about stability, and this will not be an issue with this bike. It is strong enough so you can stand up and pedal as hard as you want to. You can adjust the seat both ways, forward and backward as well as up and down so you can find a position that suits you.
To put into greater perspective on how sturdy the bike, the maximum weight capacity is 300lbs. The limit on other bikes I have seen is usually around 200-250 range.

The bike is visually attractive, and as one would expect it looks very similar to the CPS 9190 model by Stamina. You will have no need to try to hide this bike when you have people over.
The bike is very easy to setup, all you have to assemble are the pedals, seat, and handle bars. It shouldn’t take longer than a half an hour or so, and most likely won’t take that long.
The flywheel comes with a built in magnet so you can attach your bike computer to it should you want to track your mileage.
Pros
- Easy to set up
- Easy to use
- Quiet operation
- Comfortable
- Stable
- Adjustable
- Smooth operation
- Durable
Cons
- Uncomfortable
- Noisy
- Difficult to adjust
The seat is not the most comfortable you will find, so wearing cycling shorts is encouraged. You might even have to go out and purchase a seat cover. Though, comfort is something that is relative so what’s comfortable for one person might not be for another.
The handle bars don’t come up as far as you would probably like. If you are shorter than 6’0 tall, then this shouldn’t be an issue. But ultimately you would like handle bars that can adjust higher.
It can also be a little bit noisy at times. You can drown out the noise with music or television.

I’ve had the opportunity to ride many indoor trainers like this one. This trainer is comparable to the higher priced models. If, you’re looking for an indoor trainer, this is the one to get. The best part is that the built in wheel magnet works with my bike computer. Easy to mount and I can keep track of my mileage during the off season.- Spin to win
This is a great bike for the money! It’s easy to set up. Works just like the spin bikes at the gym. I use it several times a week. It’s very quiet and doesn’t take up as much room as a treadmill. Adjusting the seat height is a little difficult, otherwise great cardio workout for the money. – New triathlete
I was skeptical about buying a bike for home – I am spoiled by gym-bike quality, but didn’t want to pay gym-bike prices for home. I am so glad I bought the Stamina 9200; it’s perfect for any type of workout (flats/speed, standing runs, hill climbs, etc). It’s quiet and compact, yet solid and sturdy. Excellent bike for the price! – Weezie
I did my research for a while before finally deciding on this bike. I’m very happy with this bike and recommend it. The price is right and the setup was done in 10mins! It was nicely packaged just the handle bars, seat and foot pedals needed to be installed. It’s very sturdy and easy to adjust. -Ahell
